With Halloween over it means we are in the holiday season planning stages. Our Thanksgiving plans are set and I will be designing some place setting ideas to use at a restaurant. Christmas plans are underway. Time to start designing those Christmas cards and gathering supplies. I am happy to help with design. I have a lot of samples or can help work out a design if you have a stamp set in mind. Feel free to call or email me.

This month there is a lot of exciting news to share. Our trimmer is now available to purchase. We have a gorgeous Christmas suite of products available while supplies last. I know some of you will start listening to Christmas music already. And others of you are just waiting to deck out your tree.

Host Code for November: HMF9HAXM Use the host code when placing online orders, and you may get a gift from me. Does not apply to Paper Pumpkin subscriptions, sorry.

Birthday Month Specials!

November is my birthday month! As Sammy Hager says “I can’t drive 55.” Except now I can! Without revealing my true age (wink wink).

I am offering a gift or two this month to celebrate my birthday. Afterall, I will only be able to drive 55 from now on. I am giving away 2 Christmas card kits – Stitched with Cheer card kit (contains 18 cards and envelopes and about 10 extra cards) and Watercolor Christmas Project Kit contains 20 cards and gold foil lined envelopes. Both come in a pretty storage box.

During all of November 2019 for each $20 you purchase I will put your name in for a drawing held at the end of the month. Paper Pumpkin subscribers will get one chance automatically for subscribing in November. Place additional orders for additional chances to win. The more you spend the likelier you are to win. These are gorgeous kits. And it is Christmas cards already made and ready for your signature and a stamp. Who knows, maybe I will throw in some other goodies to give away (wink wink). So get your orders ready today.

You need to do nothing to enter except place your orders. I will keep track of dollar amounts. And I will hold the drawing live on Facebook on December 2nd at 5 pm CST. Tune in to see who wins and what they win. Prizes will be mailed the day following the drawing. Winners will also be notified by email or text.

NEW STAMPIN' UP! TRIMMER NOW AVAILABLE!

Available for purchase today, November 1, 2019!

Stampin' Up! has been working for quite some time to create a new trimmer for us that cuts and scores up to 12x12 inch paper like a boss.

Being a Demonstrator, I am able to order the trimmer early and test it out. It is now the only trimmer I am using. And I cut and score a lot of paper daily. My first blade still cuts like the first day. You are not likely to see as heavy a use as me. Though, I cannot say for sure. That being said, refill packs won't be available until January 2020. I honestly cannot see the average person needing to worry about refill before January. I have not loved a cutter as much since our guillotine cutter back from more than ten years ago. I do not use mine anymore. And I am shocked by that. I have always preferred a guillotine cutter. But this new trimmer cuts beautifully. And the fact that I can cut and score from the same unit saves me time and I find that I am scoring my stuff a lot more.

The new trimmer (cuts and scores) will be $25 152392 item number

Refill blades package $12 (4 blades included) will be available in January 2020.

Christmastime is Here Product Suite

November 1st ordering begins on the Christmastime is Here! product suite from Stampin' Up! This suite comes as a one code for all order number or order only the items you want. Products are available while supplies last! The stamp set is a two part, one part contains the beautiful flower rose outline in red rubber and the other set contains a full photopolymer set that is DistINKtive, photo real and colors in the parts of the flower, and several greetings. The dies cut out the large flower, several accent pieces, labels and more. The largest die also cuts out the flower from one style of sheet of paper in the DSP designer series paper. I think there are at least 4 of the flowers on each sheet and you get 4 sheets of 3 double sided styles of paper in the pack. One side of each of the DSP sheets has gold accents. The gold shimmer ribbon cuts like butter and ties beautifully.

If you order at least $75 in products from this suite, you will unlock   a class just for you using the products in the suite. It will be sent by email. Qualifying orders only during the special which runs all of November 2019. Ends November 30, 2019.

The order numbers are in the picture and listed below:

Ribbon Retreat

Thank you to the lovely ladies that attended my first Ribbon Retreat! We had a good time ;-)
We will meet the third Tuesday monthly (except December which will be an alternate date).

It’s expanding what was my Sandy’s Sandbox, which I tried for a while last year.

$5 for any 2 cards.
4 choices each time.
2 sessions per month, on the same day. 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.
First session will include 4 new cards. The following month 2 cards will carry forward. That way you get to make those or 2 new ones or a combination of any 2. That is up to you. That way if you didn’t get to make one or two of the cards you will get to the following month. It is like a mini buffet. Choose what you want the first trip and choose something else your second trip. You only get to make 2 cards, no adding on extra cards at that session.
$5 per person for 2 cards.

I have the dates laid out on my calendar through April. May is always a no month. If there is enough interest I will add on dates for May.

Novembers Ribbon Retreat

o  Communication Changes
·     Specials
·     Events

There are a lot of changes happening with Stampin’ Up! A newsletter seems like the best way to communicate those changes.

First off, on a personal note, I have been cleared for surgery on my left wrist. They will do two different procedures as there are several things not good. I will have the surgery when I am ready, since, in the medical sense, it is voluntary. I am looking at sometime this summer. In the meantime I received another steroid injection. It has helped with mobility but not the pain. It buys me time, which is good.

InColors!!!
In mid-April I attended Stampin’ Up! OnStage in Minneapolis. By attending I was able to pre pre-order from the Annual Catalog that starts June 4thand start playing with stuff early. And see the five new InColors. I always come away re-engerized and creatively refreshed attending live events. Announcing our five new colors: Rococo RoseTerracotta TileSoft Seaside,Purple PosyandPretty Peacock

Introducing five new colors means five colors are going away forever: Fresh FigBerry BurstPowder PinkLemon Lime TwistTranquil Tide. If you have purchased these colors in ink pads, make sure you get your ink refill now so you can keep that ink pad fresh forever. And get your coordinating cardstock and accessories before we say goodbye. Ah, I’m going to miss you Lemon Lime Twist! And peacock and tide do look different in person. I am such color nerd that I started pairing the new colors as soon as I saw them.

Cutting Tools
We are retiring our Stampin’ Up! Trimmer too. The cutting pads are already sold out. But they will introduce the cutter blades periodically over the next six months. The nice thing about our trimmer was that it cut and scored. We will be introducing a new product dudring the next year. I am sure it will be fabulous. I use our trimmer and a guillotine cutter that was originally from us.

Die Cutting Changes
We are also retiring our Big Shot die cutting machine from Sizzix. The machine has been fine but we have had some design issues with their framelits and thinlets dies. If you have noticed there was often a white margin around the dies from the stamped image. We are working on making the change. The dies will be called just dies from now on and folders are our old TIEF Textured Impression Embossing Folder. We will be introducing a new machine soon. Really this should not affect you at all. You will continue to use our current dies and folders with the Big Shot and whatever the new machine is. Some dies are already being supplied from the new manufacture. I cannot tell the difference. And the plastic supply folders that your dies are shipped in are better than the older style for better storage. That is all I know right now. I am excited for the change, as it likely means a big change for the better.

Last Chance
Of course we have our annual product change too. Our new Annual Catalog comes out June 4, 2019. That means there are many Last Chance/ retiring products for sale. The current annual catalog ends June 3, 2019 and so does the current Occasions catalogs. Orders should be placed no later than June 3, 2019 11 pm MT Stamps are only guaranteed until about May 22nd. I do not remember the exact date. Everything else is “until supplies are depleted.”

New Catalog
On that note, I am mailing out a whole bunch of catalogs to some of you. If you have purchased anything in the last year, or have contacted me in the last year to get on my mailing list, your catalog should arrive between the second and third weeks of May. Team Members: your catalogs will be mailed directly from Stampin’ Up! no matter what, unless you place an order early May. Demonstrators can pre-order from the Annual Catalog select items starting May 2nd. If you would still like a catalog and do not receive one during May, email me. I am not sure that I am having a new catalog open house this year. See events below for the reason. You will receive an invite if I change my mind and can find time.

Communication Changes
More changes: my email and how I communicate with you. Stampin’ Up! is making a big change to our backend system that affects my online calendar, my bulk email and other customer connection communications. I am still not sure what I will be doing going forward, possibly using Mail Chimp. But I have been having issues for months because they stopped development on the current system quite some time ago. I do not even get a copy of my own email anymore! And I know of several that have not been receiving a copy either. That being said, I will likely be sending two emails overlapping for some time period, as I switch over to a new service. So be sure and check your junk or spam folder in your email!

This change will also impact my online event calendar. I am still looking into possible solutions.

Where you place your orders will not change. Place order

Also, if you would prefer to be texted rather than an email, please communicate that to me with your name, cell number, and that that is your preference. You can text me that to 612-280-5590.

SPECIALS

May Paper Pumpkin (are you a subscriber yet?) is a very special kit. It was designed by Shelli Gardner, co-founder and former CEO of Stampin’ Up! Shelli has a very vintage, French, feminine flair and it is reflected in the kit and includes 16 cards and envelopes in 4 styles. Be sure to subscribe by May 10thto get the kit.Do not forget you can pause your subscription anytime or cancel. Being a subscriber does get you access to past kits when they are released. If you know friends overseas, they will be able to buy this one time kit, not as a subscription, from their local country’s Stampin’ Up! source. Contact me if you need that information.

Also, another change---Paper Pumpkin subscription cost is going up to $22 US a month from $19.95. It is a small amount but in the six years that Paper Pumpkin has been around they have never increased the price while increasing the quality and quantity of what is included in the kits.

One nice thing about Paper Pumpkin – you get an ink spot in a current color, which can be re-inked using a coordinating ink refill and the colors promise not to repeat for 12 months or more. Plus a unique photopolymer stamp set every month.

Tip: storing your Paper Pumpkin stamp sets: use a single photo, photo album such as a 4x6 size. One sleeve per stamp set. Or use scrapbooking pocket pages. An old fashioned recipe box would also work. Just look on Pinterest for Paper Pumpkin stamp set storage ideas!

EVENTS

New Product Extravaganza for the Annual Catalog
Mark your calendars for Saturday, June 22, 2019, 10-1 pm

You are invited (includes downline)! In case I do not have a way to send out invites, I am hereby giving you notice now (smile). If you have been to this event in the past you know what a fabulous fantastic event it is. We bring our A game! Over a dozen live demonstrations. Hundreds of samples. Prizes. So much more!

Must be on my mailing list and a customer to receive location information

With the Extravaganza happening just about 2 weeks after the launch of the new catalog, is a big reason not to hold my own open house for the first time in years. There are only so many days in the month! Lol and I would rather have you attend the June 22ndevent than my own smaller event. I can only show so much.

Be sure to follow my Facebook pageto catch my live demonstrations and classes. I do not currently have a consistent schedule (that will be shifting back to my M W 5 pm CST soon).

As always you can also find me in Instagram at NeedsARibbonwhere I post not only crafty projects, but my cats and family life.

And of course I have a Needs A Ribbon Pinterest account and I am accumulated great projects for the new Annual Catalog.

Okay, I think that is a wrap, a big ol’ wrap of a bunch of changes which I hope you understand. Reach out to me if you need further clarification in email at needsaribbon@gmail.comor cell / text 612-280-5590.

Look forward to seeing most of you (a girl can hope) on June 22nd. And also hearing your wish lists once you see the new catalog in a few weeks.

Take care, and happy stamping! Carve out some time for yourself, to be creative, today! ~Sandy McManus

August 2018

Hello my crafty friends!

August Hostess Code: DHQ44NTC

State Fair is just around the corner, which means, a new Holiday Catalog from Stampin’ Up! will soon be available! It goes Live September 5th. If you have purchased from me in the last year your catalog is in the mail or arrived today (I have heard from a few of you already). If you would like a catalog and do not receive one, email me. I would love to supply you with one. It is a fantastic catalog.

I do have a lot of news to share.

Welcome Missy to my Stampin’ Up! Team. She loved the free set of ink pad promotion in July (you got 10 free ink pads when you joined). And Welcome back to my Stampin’ Up! Team Jeny. She also loved getting 10 fresh new ink pads in her starter kit! Thank you ladies. I am excited to have you on board.

My upline (three levels up) Terri Gaines, reached $1,000,000 in sales with Stampin’ Up! today. I am so happy for her I cried. That is a lot of paper and ink over 22 some years.

And my upline Denise promoted in July to Silver Elite and her upline promoted to Gold. It was a good month.

Interested in joining in the fun? Start here!

In July I sent out a mini card kit to a select few of you, 25 to be exact, featuring the Rooted in Nature product suite from the Annual Catalog. I wanted to see what you would do with the kit and I wanted to share products from one of my favorite new kits. I challenged you to share what you made. I have heard from quite a few of you. I am hoping to hear from more and then I will get them posted. As they say about snowflakes, no two are alike!

Next Monday we move my son to college. By the end of the week we will be empty nesters. I am not entirely sure how I feel about this. I try not to think about it. There hasn’t been a lot of time to think about it anyway with getting him ready for the move, and other happenings around home and business.

Using the hostess code:

When you place an order onlinetoward the end of purchasing there will be a blank for the Hostess Code. If you use the hostess code, you may receive a surprise from me! August - DHQ44NTC

NEWS

While I have been in contact with you via several emails of late, I realized I have not sent a full blown newsletter in some while. Not sure how or where that time went, but I am sorry.

And now here we are in the spring, or fake calendar spring only in Minnesota. Our weather sure does love to tease us.

Right after Christmas, my husband’s family had a crisis and he was out of town for three weeks caring for his parents. Everyone is well now but it did make for a crazy and stressful holiday season.

Then after he came home I got super sick with influenza and bronchitis. I was down for six full weeks, or a good chunk of the year up until now. Not cool at all. I am completely recovered now. If any of you watch my Facebook lives, you saw how rough it was for me to talk for a while. I am sure my husband and family appreciated the silence, except for my chronic cough.

In all of this, I do have some news to share, my husband has kidney disease, one called FSGS, and a few weeks ago he got listed on the National Transplant List. His kidney function is dropping at an alarming rate, 1% a month. We have reached a point of if he can find a live donor soon, he will be golden, and live a long and happy life. Next best option is receiving a deceased donor, and that averages a five year wait and is just sad too. At this rate he may end up on dialysis. We just do not know when that may be. With luck he can slow his disease and stave off dialysis. There is no crystal ball. The need nationally for kidneys far exceeds the availability. If you are interested in learning about Live donation, visit here. The good news is with a healthy lifestyle and food choices he has managed 13/14 years with the disease before he got to this point. The national average is around 5 years. I pray every day that things work out and we find a Live donor or his disease slows down. Either would be acceptable!

On to brighter news.

Congrats to my January What A Girl Wants door prize winners! You all should have received them in the mail by now.

Thank you to all who have attended recent events! I appreciate your business and support. This includes What a Girl Wants, our well attended Diva stamp meeting, the Osseo Craft Garage Sale, my Sandbox event and more!

SPECIALS

Sale-A-Brate for another 10 days! Until March 31st! Sale-A-Bration is when you purchase at least $50 in merchandise before shipping, handling and tax, you get to choose an item out of that Sale-A-Bration Brochure, for FREE! This year we have level 1 items, for every $50 in merchandise, no limits, and level 2 items, for $100. The more you spend the more you earn and can mix and match items. A few items will be available in our Annual Catalog come June 1st, but now is the chance to get them for FREE! Reminder that once you purchase $150 order or more, you can be the host of your own little party of one! Hostess earn even more at parties of over $250. I myself have taken advantage of that often this winter.

Join my team before March 31st and get two any value (up to $101) stamp sets included in your kit! I think it is safe to say the five ladies that were able to come to our Diva Day in March see why I have been a demonstrator consistently for almost 13 years! I love my Divas. We are more than teammates, we are genuine friends who support one another inside and outside our business. These ladies are the real deal. And expand that to include our Inking of You group! I am only 5 levels from the top of SU!, which is rare. Even more rare is finding that these ladies have been consistently involved since the day the day they joined. It is really rare to find that consistency in any business, especially with a DM Direct Market company.

So, you want to get a discount on products and not build a business? Not a problem with Stampin’ Up! Most of us Demonstrators are in it for the discount.

Can’t stick around forever, or even a year? Drop and come back! We are open to that, no penalty. But I hate to seem team members go...

I love what I do, for so many reasons. I don’t push the recruiting message often, but I recommend you try it. You don’t like it, you can drop anytime.

Paper Pumpkin is a monthly subscription kit shipping right to your door, much like Bark Box, or BirchBox, FabFitFun or many of the hundreds of subscription boxes that exist. Ours is the best crafting one around. In each month you will get a project, with everything you need besides a little adhesive and scissors. You will also get a unique stamp set. An ink spot, which is a mini ink pad. Did you know you can buy our ink bottles separately and keep reinking those little spots indefinitely? They are super portable too. We promise not to repeat a color more than once a year. You get to be part of the cool crowd that loves escaping to their kit once a month. Occasionally we throw in a freebie. And the cool kids can often get to order refills for their kits!

Be one of the cool kids today and join! From now until May you get your first two months at 50% off. Use this code when you check out. SAVEFIFTYO418 I don’t get my kits every month. I opt out of that kit before they are processed for mailing. Yes, you can do that. You will get a reminder email, just remember to go in and opt out that month. You can permanently suspend too. It is easy to log back in and start up any time.

Kits are a great way to inspire creativity. You never have to put the kit together the way the instructions say. There is a fantastic place on Pinterest for Paper Pumpkin ideas. I know some people that get two kits, one to put together by instructions, one to make alternate projects for it.

A prepaid subscription is a great gift to yourself or someone who loves to craft. A month is $20, a prepaid 3 month subscription is normally $59, 6 month is $114, 12 months is $215. Think about that, 12 months for $215, that’s 12 stamp sets, 12 ink spot/ink pads and 12 project kits. That just cannot be purchased for that price any other way!

No, we do not do previews or teasers for that months kit. You get the big surprise when your box comes in the mail. I love surprises, don’t you?

Play Bingo Stampin’ Up! Style
I am hosting my first Bingo night!

My House in Minnetonka

It is $25 for 6 rounds and make and takes because it wouldn’t be a stamping event without make and takes!!! Additional boards for final round can be purchased for $5 each. $5 coupon if you place an order that night. Need at least 10 players to make event happen. Prizes every round!

Register by April 11th.

I have to have at least 10 players to hold Bingo Night! Interested in Bingo and have a group of friends (at least 10), I can bring Bingo to you!

Card Buffet Class
Make 12 cards, 2 each of 6 styles, class fee listed below

It will be like a Stamp-A-Stack of cards but you get more choice in which cards you make. Cards will be simple and quick to stamp and assemble.

How this event will work: I will have boxes for each card, around 10 card styles. In each box will be packets with the supplies for each card, you will make two of that card. You will take that box to your spot and work on those cards. When you are done you will bring that box back and choose another box to work on. You can choose up to 6 boxes. In other words, if you want to make 4 of a particular card, you will only get 5 boxes then. Card boxes are first come first serve. I will make sure that there is supplies for everyone to make 2 of each card in a box. Whatever cards are left at the end of the event will be offered as extra at the next event. So if you didn’t get to make it this time, and there are packets leftover, you can make it next time if you attend. And I will continue the previous buffet cards until they are depleted. This first buffet I will make sure to include seasonal cards for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Graduation, and Wedding.

If you sign up for this class, I do expect that is a commitment to attend the class. I am not asking for pre-payment due to having the option to place an order and receive the class for FREE. I am kindly asking that if you commit to come that you do so. Payment for the class will be due at the end, pending amount and if order is placed.

My downline may attend class for $12, a dollar a card. It is a perk of being in my downline! You will be expected to bring your own adhesive and provide your own envelopes.

I am trying something new to save you some money, I will have 4 pricing structures – just cards, cards and envelopes, cards and glue, cards envelopes and adhesive (glue, no tape).

Class Fee Structure:
Basic: 2 cards, no envelopes or adhesive, 2 each of 6 styles of cards
$25 or FREE with a $50 order* that night
Basic Plus: 12 cards and envelopes, 2 each of 6 styles of cards and coordinating envelopes
$27.50 or FREE with a $55 order *that night
Sticky: 12 cards, 2 each of 6 styles of cards, and adhesive (Green Tombo Glue)
$30 or FREE with a $60 order* that night
Enchilada: 12 cards and envelopes, 2 each of 6 styles of cards, adhesive, and envelopes (name as in the Whole Enchilada)
$32.50 or FREE with a $65 order* that night

*order is for merchandise total before shipping, handling and tax. If you forget adhesive, you can purchase that night for $5 from me. Please try to remember, I only offer glue, I know some of you prefer tape runners or other types of adhesives.

Registration will be due by April 22nd for any of the dates! Please let me know by email or text or online registration which fee structure and section you desire.

Dates

If you are unable to attend any of these sessions but would like to participate, ask me about holding your own card buffet at a location of your choosing with your friends!

OTHER

I am all over Social Media! See below for links.

Video Broadcasts
Reminder to follow me on Facebook! I have my own business page and do Facebook Live videos 2-3 times a week around 5:00 pm, usually on Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays. I show tips, make cards, show created items and more. I have been cleaning up boxes of cards and found some “oldie but goodie” techniques to share with you. Be sure to listen for my cat who often sings “the song of my people” during my broadcast.

I eventually get these videos processed and uploaded to my YouTube channel and posted on my website. I got behind this winter when I was so sick. Life happens.

Pinterest
I have an extensive Pinterest board for each new Stampin’ Up! catalog that is released. Check it out here, Pinterest.

Instagram
I post projects, my cats and other stuff frequently. Follow here, Instagram.

Tip:
Reminder to store your double tipped markers on their side, regular markers, alcohol based markers and so on.

Reminder we have stamps in 3 ways. We have traditional red rubber mounted on wood. We have red rubber with cling on one side to place on clear acrylic blocks. We have completely clear photopolymer stamps you mount on clear blocks.

A great tip if you do not want to buy all our markers by color family or by the entire pack, we do sell in our Annual Catalog and our mini catalogs, two pack markers usually in seasonal colors. Example here. $7.00 for a two pack of colors.

Speaking of coloring, we have so many ways to color – inks, ink refill bottles, aqua painter brushes, watercolor pencils, Stampin’ Blends alcohol based markers, regular markers, blender pens can be used with many of the items listed, color spritzers and more. Many ways to color your world!

My Address:
Note: If you need to mail me items, please use this address:

PO Box 1769, Minnetonka MN 55345

You may want to note these addresses and my other contact information in your address book. I do not post my direct address on my online class calendar for obvious reasons.

Now is the time for you and your friends to make sure you are on my email list. I will be able to snail mail our annual catalog soon. Anyone that has placed an order in the last year will automatically get one free from me. I will have a small no fuss catalog pick up event. And there is always the Extravaganza too.

I appreciate you and everything you are! I hope I have inspired you to start thinking about joining my team, or placing an order and getting FREE goodies before they are gone.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. ~Sandy

I am home and recuperating from surgery. Surgery itself went well, and I am on the mend. Movement and therapy-wise, I have a long road ahead. The road will be more challenging than normal total knee replacement patients and revision patients due to the nature of what all has happened. I look forward to the challenge and getting my full mobility back.

The surgeon confirmed that my previous joint was indeed quite loose and sliding around in the joint. Fortunately, there does not seem to be irreversible damage from that. I should be able to get better range of motion, and quite frankly, already am about to pre-surgical range of motion. It’s sad and expected at the same time. This has been a royal mess. I must reprioritize my fall schedule, which bums me out. I hope you understand. Bottom line, I got this, and am working to be a better and more whole Sandy.

Today is the first day you can order from the Holiday 2017 Catalog. If you would like a catalog, please email me and let me know. Happy to pop one in the mail.  Shop Now

I am pushing my customer appreciation even out until the Winter months during Sale-A-Bration. I will notify you when I add on events. I am taking schedule planning day by day for the most part. I am still in the post-surgical groggy stages of recovery.

You are invited to the Holiday 2017 Catalog Open House on Saturday, September 16, 10-1 pm. NOTE: We are at a different location this time! Grace Fellowship Church, 8601 101st Avenue, Champlin, MN 55445 Link for registration. Facebook Page for Event

Dozen live demonstrations! Prizes! Specials! Samples (bring your camera!) and More!

Evite coming to your mailbox soon. Mark the date!

Let me get you up to speed on what has been going with me personally. If you follow my blog you probably are up to speed. Type in knee in the search field it will bring you to all my posts. And I hope to have the “subscribe to” fixed on my blog in the next week. Technical issues.

I am scheduled for knee revision surgery on August 21st. Revision meaning they are replacing just part of the whole knee joint, in this case, just the tibial implant. This may or may not fix my problem. All diagnostics indicate that the glue (bone cement) has come loose there and the piece has been just sliding around. The bottom line, there are no more diagnostics that can be done no more specialists to rule out stuff, if I want to fix it I need to see this surgery through and pray (please pray for me) that this fixes the pain and the problem. I am not expected to be in the hospital more than 1-2 nights.

Because of this this situation and the fact that since mid-June I have been house bound, and nearly bed bound due to mobility (knee does not work well at all) and pain, I am postponing, not cancelling!!!, all my upcoming events. It is with a heavy heart that I do. I have so much fun things planned for my 12th anniversary as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator. They will keep. If the surgery is a success, expect to start seeing a lot more events from me. I hope to start holding regular events in my studio. It is such a nice space now!

I will send out my new event calendar when I have one. I am hesitant to put anything on the calendar because I am not sure on the length of my recovery.

The new Holiday catalog comes out September 1st. I can get a peek of it. Wowza! I need to recover very fast! Be sure to let me know if you want a catalog, either catalog, mailed to you. Either I or my husband (during recovery) can pop one in the mail to you. I believe this is the best holiday catalog Stampin’ Up! has released yet. So join today and you can get a peek of it, and pre-order products, tomorrow!

Bonus Days and Christmas in July end tonight * Surgery in three weeks * New catalog September 1st * New Events calendar Soon.

Thank you for your loyal business. Hopefully this is the last time I need to post-pone events due to medical. I look forward to seeing you at events this fall.

Keep being creative, Sandy

Needs A Ribbon News from Stampin’ Up!
Sandy McManus Independent Demonstrator

Hello gorgeous summer! Summer time for our family means lots of fun family time. I know a lot of you have family cabins you visit on weekends and travel time to see family and friends and new places. With that in mind, my class schedule will be light for a while. I am still looking for enough interest in a Christmas in July class to schedule and plan it. I have heard from just a few of you. Email me if this is of interest to you. Most likely week is the week of July 17th, with an alternate of July 10th. When you message me, please indicate weeks most likely to work with your schedule.

Thank you for coming to the Catalog Open House last week. I hope you enjoyed seeing first hand some of the new products. We still have the New Product Extravaganza on June 24th. You should have received a separate email with details.

The catalog is one of the best I have seen from Stampin’ Up! Maybe my favorite of all time?! Everyone is loving the new In Colors and is finding their favorites. Is yours Lemon Lime Twist? How about Tranquil Tide? Maybe Berry Burst is more your flavor. Fresh Fig has a nice twist on purple. Feeling soft and fuzzy? Try a little Powder Pink.

And we have so many new delicious product suites – who has not fallen in love with Eastern Palace suite yet on page 18? Are you a coffee lover or know a coffee or tea fan? Turn to page 30 of the catalog to look at the Coffee Break suite. The Birthday Memories suite has something special, the coordinating framelits cut out the stamp set and select images from the designer papers! It starts on page 68. The Foil Frenzy suite contains gorgeous foil papers and a great Happy Birthday framelits and some other goodies. Page 76 on is where you find that suite.

How can you pass on the Delightful Daisy Suite. The stamp set and daisy punch are delicious and the paper is a must purchase. Find them starting page 126. The Naturally Eclectic Suite is probably my favorite color palette. I love peacock type colors, and mixed with a little Berry Burst and Night of Navy? Bam! And the die that cuts out the diamond pattern? Add that to your wish list right now. Page 132 is where it all starts.

The Color Theory Suite is all over Pinterest and beyond. It starts on page 146. Are you feeling rustic and loving farmhouse décor? Head to page 158 and take a look at the Wood Textures product suite. There is a framelit that cuts out a wood crate. And speaking of wood, we have a double-sided 6x6 stack of wood designer paper. I might be halfway through my first stack already!

Your colors and embellishments and Big Shot items start on page 184. Find the list of stamps in the catalog, along with their item numbers and price on page 224.

That wraps up my catalog summary. I cannot send a PDF of the catalog with this email, it does not allow for attachments. If you would like a physical catalog or PDF, please let me know.

SAVE THE DATE: And I have not held a customer appreciation event in quite a few years. I will be hosting one on August 25 and August 26, two sessions to choose from. Event will be free and I want to spoil you! Lots of fun stuff I have planned for this event. Click on which date you would like to register for. Special evite will be coming next month.

January 2017

Hello Crafty Crew:

Welcome back from the holidays! We were delighted to have our daughter home from college for a month! We enjoyed our family time and did what we could as a family. My son has mono so he was not able to participate in everything. And I went on a baking spree like I haven’t since 2002. And even then, it was not as many types or cookies in total. I passed the 1100 mark. And I still have 2 types to make. I got a professional cookie press for Christmas that I am itching to use! Many have asked if I am donating them to public safety agencies. No, this year I am not. We are freezing them. If I do this in future years I will consider that option. This was just a challenge I set forth for myself, for some crazy reason!

Tomorrow, January 4th, starts new catalog with Stampin’ Up! – the Occasions 2017 catalog and the Sale-A-Bration event starts! To refresh you on what Sale-A-Bration event is – I say SAB for short, for SAB, you earn a FREE item from the Sale-A-Bration catalog when you purchase $50 in merchandise, no limit. Items range from packs of designer paper, to stamps, ribbon, card tins, card kits and so on. If you hostess during SAB period, which ends March 31st, you earn even more as a hostess. IF your party sales reach at least $250 you get an extra $25 to spend on merchandise! And if you make the leap and join us during that time, the kit is $99 plus tax only and you get the normal choose any products up to $125 in value, the business items you need, and a bonus of any 2 FREE stamp sets (ANY, not including bundles) which gets you an additional up to $104 in value, depending on which sets you choose!

I have been making videos and have them available on Youtube. Here is a link, https://www.youtube.com/user/NeedsARibbon to my channel. I will be adding more in the upcoming weeks. I am considering doing classes via Youtube too. I would mail you a project kit (cut paper and such) and you can put it together along with the video. If this is something you find of interest, please let me know, it will encourage me to move forward with this project. On that note if there are any other videos you would like to see, as in product specific, I am happy to hear your ideas.
