Manly Man Swap

As I posted yesterday and have in the past about organized swapping at Convention. I participated in a "Manly Man" swap. Unfortunately about 9 people did not show up for the swap. There was to be around 50 swappers.  To make the background layer I used Early Espresso Core'dinations paper 129956 for the Neutrals pack. The Core'dinations paper is great because it is so manipulatable. I ran it through the Big Shot using the Argyle embossing folder 127750 which I thouht would start it off with a masculine flair. I then sanded it.  It took no time at all to sand what ended up to be 58 cards using the new sanding system where you can replace the sanding pads 129367 and replacement pads can be purchases. I have yet to wear out my originals though. Moving on. I used a lot of ovals that I cut out using the ovals framelits 129381 and the big white elephant of Stampin' Up! the magnetic platform for the Big Shot to use with your framelits 130658, I purchased mine in the first

One Big Happy

Here is a group photo of us Inking of You ladies from the Stampin' Up! Convention 2013. i understand a few of them are missing. Isn't that impressive that that many went? Most of them live in Minnesota and the surrounding states. That I feel speaks volumes to our fearless leader Terri, in the lower left corner of the picture. I am on the far right second up the railing. I tried to hide my boo boo but a corner of it snuck in the picture.   Thanks for stopping by, Sandy

Convention Swap: In Color

At the Stampin' Up! Convention we have the option to swap (exchange product ideas in card, scrapbook or 3D items). Some are what we call "organized swaps" where you sign up and often there is a specific theme. Open swapping is just that. Basically you walk around with your swaps (often just card fronts) asking people "got swaps?"  It's fun. You meet great people (not just women) and its entertaining. That's your education for the day. This swap theme was "In Color" and was for our local group at our end of Convention pizza party.  Here is my alternate as I keep running out of Strawberry Slush.  I used one of the edge embossing folders- Delicate Designs 127023. It gave it a sweetness I thought the otherwise cute card needed.  Thanks for stopping by, Sandy

My Convention Souvenier

This was posted on Facebook. Thought I'd share it with you.  ------------------ My Salt Lake City souvenir:  Rather than address all the separate texts and PMs I thought I'd share my story once. This is not normally what I would share on FB preferring to share the fun stuff. It is just easier to address all.  Ignore at your leisure LOL. On Day 2 of my Convention experience Deb and I were heading over to the Salt Palace (Convention Center) to pick up our Tshirts and I had a swap (of course!). Leaving the hotel (Marriott right across from Salt Palace) as I stepped down I could feel my knee at that moment buckle and twist to and fro. As that happened my ankle twisted to offset this action and I ended up landing on my left knee (which the arthritis is only slight better on it). I was like a very large tree falling down first. Someone said it was the slowest and most graceful fall they have seen.  My face got acquainted with the pavement of Salty. I beg to differ on the graceful par
