Card Prep Gadget

I wanted to share with you, stampers and demonstrators, my poor mans, space starved solution to little scrap cardstock pieces when doing multiple cards for card classes. It was a simple little hack, as my techie husband would say. But it solved an issue I had when doing my Cards & Coffee classes, where space is an issue. I took a single piece of card stock and folded it up and stapled three pockets to put stray paper scraps or whatever suits the project. Not very pretty, but quite functional. For at home stampers this trick might be of use if you are making multiples of the same card, instead having stacks of paper sliding all over your workspace. And the price was right. I will probably make several of these little beauties for my upcoming classes, as it is easy to pass around the table and grab your supplies rather than reaching around cups and other stuff on the table. Thanks for stopping by, Sandy

Tea for Two Card

Tea for Two card is the third card we created at my recent Cards & Coffee class. I recommend trying the class. I offer them monthly. We make two - three cards, depending on the simplicity and is $5. The class runs for an hour and a half but we are usually done sooner and then visit. I bring samples with me. This class really is a get in and get out kind of class, due to time and space. It is a lot of fun. This last card features the Tea Shoppe 125545 w 125547 c. This stamp set is retiring in a few days. Again it features some really nice greetings and cute images. I have seen some really cute samples using this stamp set. It is on my recommend list. So for this card given all the greetings available I gave the stampers a choice on how they wanted to make it. You could color and stamp the tea cups right on the top card layer or cut them out (ahem, Carol!). Doing a lot of hand cutting is, pardon the pun, not my "cup of tea". And we had different punches to punch out t

A Whale of a Good Time

Card 2 from a recent Cards & Coffee Class. Card uses the Whale Clearlits die 129403 and coordinating stamp set Oh, Whale! (129129 w 129132 c) and Sunshine and Sprinkles DSP 126922. This set comes with greetings for many occasions. It is available for purchase for just a few more days.

Hello, Hello Card

This card was one of three made at a recent Cards & Coffee class. The card is made using the Hello, Hello single stamp, available for purchase for only a short time on my website. The oval was cut out using one of the nested oval framelits and the Big Shot, and the Chevron embossing folder. We made three cards. Thank you for stopping by, Sandy

So Sorry about Wonky Pix

I am having difficulty with photos and having them upright tonight. Having to post for my phone. I am not able to access photos from my laptop to post to blogger. Been going on a few weeks. Got the geek guru husband working on it now. It's just ioS Photo Stream I cannot access from blogger on my lappy. If anyone else has had this happen what have you done to fix it?  I don't mind using my phone but it is awkward and more time consuming and I don't have all the tools.  Thanks, Sandy

DSP Foldover Card

Our monthly downline Stampin' meetings we call Diva meetings we swap cards shoebox style. Which means you bring precut paper and the rest of the project supplies in a "shoebox". We rotate around the tables and make each others swaps. Those stampers not able to attend mail in their completed swaps and our fearless Manager/Leader Sue mails them back to those Divas. It is a lot of fun to do it that way rather than bringing completed cards. Plus prepping is SO MUCH EASIER!  I am going to post the cards from our recent meeting giving credit where I remember who's card they are. Our theme was "fun fold". Thanks for stopping by tonight. It is warm and souping feeling in the Twin Cities tonight. ~Sandy Denise card  Deb's Card It pulls out so you can attach a gift card. All Dressed Up - Minnie Mouse

This was a happy accident. I just wanted to use the Polka Dot Parade paper 126902 and a white top thinking something happy and spring like.  When I paired them together suddenly I saw Minnie Mouse. The belt is the back side of the black scallop dots ribbon 124145 (retiring). And I made her mouse ears using a half a circle punch and cut the 1/2" circle punch in half for the actual ears.  I wrote Minnie using the signo white gel pen much like the stitching you get at Disney world or Disneyland.  Yes I am still having so much fun with this die. I have another series of 11 that I will start posting in a few days.  Oh so exciting!   Thank you for stopping by today. ~Sandy

All Dressed Up - Glam Girl

Yes I have officially gone overboard with the Dress Up Framelet. Moms should celebrate Moms Day all glammed up in this beauty.  In honor of women everywhere, whether they be moms, sisters, daughters, grandmas or friends celebrate the special ladies in your life. Get dressed up and ha e some fun.

Happy Birthday 15

For my daughters friend we gave her a "jar of happiness". We have had one at our house for years. It was an oval shaped open dish that had an old "happiness" decor element on one side. We would fill it with 3 pounds of M&Ms. Very popular item. Especially with this friend.  I found a jar reminiscent of the old candy store styles from yesteryear. Made a personalized tag and added a retired Decor Element wall vinyl to one side that says SUGAR. Back of tag uses silver glitter paper.  I had just enough time to make a matching card. I had no clue until I was glittering the candles on the card that there are 15 candles on that stamp. Works perfectly.  Thank you for stopping by today. Happy Saturday and Happy Mothers Day. -Sandy

All Dressed Up - Belle en Vert

Such a beautiful dress. Wish it came in human size. I can see it for many occasions, maybe even a bridesmaid dress.  To make the ruffle bottom I ran sticky strip along the backside and scrunched the seam binding (it lays flatter than other ribbons for this technique) as I went along the tape.  I used the same embossing folder for the dress and card layer.  Thank you for stopping by today. Let me know if you have any questions about this card or any other project on my blog. -Sandy

HELP Me! I have an addiction

Please get an intervention going. I cannot stop using the Dressed Up Framelits from Stampin' Up! mini catalog, item 130101. I have been posting my Dressed Up series, and still have a few more to go. But inspired by an idea last night I sate down and did 11, YES 11!!! projects with the framelit. I need medical help or someone to steal into the night and make it go away. Every once in a while I need some girlie fun.

All Dressed Up sweetly

Next in my Dressed Up Framelits series. By the way I have a Facebook business page, where I post more often at www.facebook.com/sandymcmanusstamps. Crafty stuff I post here also.  Back to fun. For this sweetheart of a dress I used Primrose Petals Core d'inations paper, ran it through the framelit on the Big Shot and then sanded it up. The neckline and the lace petticoat where made using a paper doily from the spring mini catalog. $2.95 for 20 cute doilies is quite a deal.  The background of the dress is raspberry ripple, the coordinating color to primrose petals. Reminder, these are InColors and will be available until May 31, 2014 (one more year).  This sweet little dress would be really cute as a Mothers Day card or for a birthday card for someone.  Thank you for stopping by, I really appreciate it.

All Dressed Up - in Purple

Here she is my favorite new framelet in purple royalty. I cut extra layers using scraps of paper and just the bottom of the scallop framelet. I ran all the layers adhered together through the lattice embossing folder to give it a rich texture.  Colors used were: wisteria wonder, perfect plum, elegant eggplant.  I spritzed the dress with frost white shimmer paint when it was done. And that is the large scallop heart framelet in whisper white. Not sure why the whites yellowed in the picture.  She needs a grand event to go to, maybe prom? Or a coronation? Thank you for stopping by, I appreciate it Sandy.

Cards & Coffee Tuesday

Teaser of cards at Tuesdays Cards & Coffee class. May 7 noon - 1:30 Caribou Coffee Cambridge and 5-6:30 Coon Rapids Caribou Coffee. $5 or free w $25 order.

All Dressed Up in Wisteria

Sweet little dress in wisteria wonder and elegant eggplant on a summer starfruit background. Don't you just love the flouncy flowers on the bottom of the skirt. I am having so much fun with this framelet. I wonder if it will be in the new catalog? Sure hope so, I would hate to say good bye so soon. I have more ideas to post. Keep checking back. Thank you for stopping by and taking a look, Sandy

Dressed to Party - A Series

I will be posting a series I did using this fabulous new die from Stampin' Up! in the Occasions mini catalog. It is just so much fun to play with. I spent an evening in what I now call my hovel. I don't know why I call it that I just do. I made 7 or 8 projects using this die and the coordinating stamp set.   Just so you know when you do not see me for a while on the web it does not mean I have disappeared, it usually means I am really busy on stuff and do not take the time to post. And I have lots and lots of great stuff to post. Somehow I need to get it up and posted. Maybe if I don't list the supplies I can get stuff posted quicker if that is OK with you.   Dressed Up Framelet 130101 All Dressed Up Stamp Set 129171 w 129174 c   Yes, I think that might make things quicker. The rest of the supplies you might already know, or have. If you need a list of supplies I will be happy to provide it, at a later date.   Anyway, this little dress really
