Are you ready for Thanksgiving?

Tomorrow is the big day!  Today your house is spotless and the kitchen is buzzing with activities of food prep, family prep and more. My house is messy and dirty, as we are far from settled into this house yet. Every day we make progress. Whether it be a new shelf hung, a closet cleaned out or a box unpacked, we are working on it every single day. There is still so much of my parents stuff here, to be sorted, packed or donated. We are all getting burned out of this process and anxious to start the remodel process, but the house is not ready for that yet.  Thanksgiving will be here whether we are ready or not. The Old Country Buffet Turkey dinner is looking like it will be the reality. The tradition will continue as traditions do.  This card says sweet thanks. Thanks for a lot of things, including my readers.  Thank YOU for stopping by! Happy stamping, Sandy

Thanksgiving is 2 Days Away

With two days to go I hope you have your turkey purchased and thawed. Then again who am I to talk. I have cooked a whole turkey exactly three disastrous times. There will not be a fourth, trust me, my family says "thank you" for that. I am a really good cook but for some darn reason whole turkeys elude me. We have turkey rolls about once a month. At this point in my life I am pretty darn sure it is a mental block. Maybe I need my chi adjusted. (smile) Not likely. In spite of my turkey mess, we all have much to be thankful for this year. For my family, we are in a new (okay, really old but new to them) home. My mom is no longer in pain and suffering. Both kids are loving school (how many parents can say that!) I am enjoying Stampin' Up! more than ever. And my husband just hit 20 years with the same company.  I challenge you to be thankful for five things this week. Five things is a pretty full plate folks.  Happy (almost) Thanksgiving! Happy

Thanksgiving Countdown

Thanksgiving is days away. What are your  holiday plans and what traditions do you have? My kids are voting for Old Country Buffet for dinner as that is a tradition my parents started when the kids were very little. It was easier for everyone involved. I really do not want to go as I do not eat most of that food except for the soup and salad. We do need a tradition, whether it be an old one or a new one. We are in a new house and all our local family that we have spent holidays with in the past are now deceased. I think it's time to start a new tradition of some type. The kids say nope. Must stay as is. We have always been a crazy Black Friday early shopper. I am not even interested in that this year. So far no one has listed any gift ideas that make it essential to go out in the cold in the middle of the night and fight the crowds. I do hear "but it's tradition mom".   So, this old fart is ready for some fresh ideas, I see that the kids want to

November 2015 Stampin' Up! News

Needs A Ribbon November 2015 Ø   Hello Ø   Specials Ø   Events Ø   Holidays Ø   Club Flyer It has taken me a little longer to get out this newsletter because, as you can see, my calendar is filling up with many fun events. Remember if you do not see an event on here but are interested, please bring it to my attention. I love hearing your class ideas. And soon I will be able to have classes from the convenience of my home. Kind of a little (a whole lot!!!!) excited about that. I have been taking my classes on the road for since 2008/2009, which I do love doing, and coming to people’s homes to create together, but there is something about the convenience of being in your own space. I know you all know what I mean. SPECIALS Weekly Deals Don’t forget that Stampin’ Up! has weekly deals posted Tuesdays. Always while supplies last. Gift Tag for the Holidays

Yes. It is the season of giving (and maybe receiving). Which means we like to enhance our gifts with pretty bows and tags and bags and wrap. It elevates the gift, especially if the packaging is handmade.  This tag is the VIP project from my Card Studio event. At the Card Studio for Christmas I had over 40 card samples to help plan your Christmas card. As part of the class you get one on one time with a professional. And the perk for ordering your supplies from me is I will cut your card bases and basic pieces for free and deliver with your order within two weeks of order. November Thankful

This season of friends and family there are many reasons to feel grateful and send a Thank You or Thinking of You card.  As part of my continued "using the scraps in front of me" I whipped up this card in mere moments last night.  Everything except the striped newsprint paper is from a previous swap. Even that was a scrap I cut down. My challenge continues to empty the bin I now keep in my studio right in front of me. I add scraps and I use them. I wish I had done this years ago. I used to stick them back into my paper sorter. My office was arranged differently. Now I peak first in there to see what I can make. It's getting empty but I know that won't last.  Let's look at the supplies, which are all listed on previous blog posts.  STAMPS: Watercolor Thank You 135377, Vintage Leaves 138802 INKS: Delightful Dijon 138327, StayzOn Black 101406 PAPERS: Gold Glimmer 133719, Very Vanilla 101650, Delightful Dijon 138338, Typeset Specialty DSP 133704 ACESSORIES: Leaflets F
