Experimental String Art

I did this a year ago. Just experimenting with techniques and products and well, fun art. String art, making a comeback in decorating, thought, well can our products do the same? Why yes we can!  If you do this make sure you use strong backing material because as you pull on string the paper will buckle.  Thanks for stopping by, happy stamping, Sandy

New Catty Excitement!!!

Attended the Stampin' Up! New catalog red carpet premier last night. What fun!

Last Fall New Catalog Framelit Swap

Much like so many (too many) things that got out on the back burner as I recover from two sequential knee replacements, I was cleaning out my office and came across swaps I got from last September Inking of You downline meeting. The theme was New Framelits. I am going to post some of the relevant cards that still have available products. These ladies do great work! Heck, I finally unpacked my Convention loot. I can home, as you might remember, injured with a torn MCL doing my infamous faceplant outside the hotel last summer. Was home about 10 days then we took off on a 17 day family vacation. Was home about another 10 days then had my knee replaced. What a journey it has been getting to this point. Not much time to breath. Anyway... back at the Stampin ranch... Here was my framelit swap. I love Gorgeous Grunge stamp set.   I guess you might call it a tent fold card.  And a few of the other fine ladies swaps:   Jennifer W  Mary E  Trina K Connie T   Julianne H   Sue R  Juli K   Tanya M

Diva Blog Hop April - Flowery Easter

In spite of the many inches of snow outside in central Minnesota right now, there can always be blooming flowers when you stamp.  I love this simple Stampin' Up! stamp set Blessed Easter 133212 in the Occasions catalog.  You can simply stamp the image. You can color it. You can emboss it. The greeting says "Wishes for a Blessed Easter". In my card It is covered up by the flaps. I made the flaps using the Scallop Tags topper punch.  Wanting a different twist on traditional pastel Easter colors I chose Tangerine Tango, Crushed Curry, and Garden Green. I also used the dotted embossing folder which was available for FREE during Sale-A-Bration and will be available in the new catalog on June 1.  Watercolor Wonder paper 132994 availale until May 31st in the Occasions catalog.   For the flaps I used one long piece and punched both ends of the T Tango with the 133324 Scallop Tag topper punch.  And for a little flair I used the gold bakers twine 132975 and 132974 for the silver. I

One Word - UGH!

Just hours into this storm, three inches of white stuff has already fallen. Hello! It's April 3rd!!! Can we be done now, Purdy please?

Which Disney Princess Will I Bee Today?

I made these costumes a year ago using the Dress Up Framelits from Stampin' Up! 130101. Some of the punches and colors are now retired. This is one of those projects that got almost finished and then my knees got so bad.  I tried to get a non shadow panoramic but that would have to wait until daylight and then not likely to get done.  Not going to post entire supply list, as some of it is retired. The framelit is still available. If you would like cards made for your daughters birthday party as me.  Again, this was a year ago. Now Merida has been replaced with the new Frozen princess and Jasmine and Aurora have updated wardrobes.  The first, and in my opinion, only true princess - Cinderella.  Aurora Pocahontas  Mulan  Snow White Jasmine Merida Her dress sparkles.  Tiana Belle Little Mermaid  Rapunzel  Yes I actually delicately laced up her dress.  Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed the Disney Princess series. Guess I need to add one more. Someday.  Happy stamping, Sa
