I had some time to scrapbook with my friend Sylvia and Gretchen today. We talked a lot and I got a little bit of scrapbooking done. I have a many more pages that I started that I will come back to when I get a chance. These were of our visit to the MN State Fair this year. Nanner is a private, and very silly family joke. The "bell" was made using a tulip embellishment, flipping it over and recoloring it since I don't have a bell stamp. I like it. My Digital Studio 2 Day 7 Bonus Project (Class)

My Digital Studio 2 class is rolling right along. I have fallen a little behind because of some family fun, but that is OK, it is a go at your own pace class anyway. I had just promised myself I would stay on top of things.      So the Day 7 class bonus was an idea borne from Pinterest. Make a sign for your child to hold with their starting grade for the first day of school. Love the idea! Not that I can't tell which year the picture was taken for which grade ;-). Especially when my kids have worn the same shirt for first day of school for a few years, and in my daughters case, she wore the same shirt for school pictures for five years. It doesn't fit anymore, but it was fun for her to do for as many years as she could.     I think I really captured the feeling of each kid with these signs. My son is starting 7th and has so much promise ahead of him, and is looking forward to his school year. My daughter is starting high school, which brings big change

MDS2 Day 7 Class - Great MN Get together

Our My Digital Studio 2 class project for Day 7 was working with multiple photo boxes and importing just one picture. So easy and such a cool effect. The other technique we learned was using the torn edge too on the bottom of words, or other items to make it look like waves, or other effects. I don't have the torn edge stamp. I used the splatter tool and turned it white and sprayed it on the fudge puppy words to look like whip cream which is on top of a pup. Love the effect. If you would like to learn more about MDS and stamping, contact me.

Day 5 MDS 2 Class- Climb Higher

Our class technique this day is to work with frames. I used the new Candid Frames, which I am really liking. And I have another page of my so s camp scrapbooked. If you are interested in learning more about My Digital Studio or stamping feel free to contact me at sohott@ EarthLink.net anytime.

MDS2 Day 4 Class - campfire

So we continue the MDS 2 classes. I am getting some of the summer events scrapped in the process. We learning how to work with the splatter tool. I liked the addition of "stitching" down the tag. This was one of the evening gatherings at scout camp after a day of swimming, fishing climbing and more.

You're Amazing Card

Sky - Everything is Possible with God

My Digital Studio day 2 class we learned how to free form text into circles and other shapes. And we learned cropping stamps (believe). It is so easy with MDS 2. Email me to learn more about digital scrapbooking and crafting.
My Digital Studio day 3 bonus assignment was making window treat bags. I chose not to have a window on these because I thought they were so pretty as is. How easy would it be to print these out, cut in half and and tape together. Just add a small treat or cookie. Love it!

Fill A Punch with Ribbon

Cannery baby jar/ bottle

You're the Best -popcorn gift

Jump Page

MDS 2 class assignment 1. Completed. I really like this page. Worked with the line maker and how to show action layering identical photos and tilting them. Now everybody say JUMP. If you are interested in learning how to make more items using My Digital Studio or other crafts, contact me.

MDS2 Class - Sour Cream Containers

Taking the Simply MDS2 class offered by Heather S our first quick project was to make sour cream containers using MDS2. These will be an easy print, cut and fill treat. Contact me if you are interested in learning more about My Digital Studio 2.

YUM

Yum wouldn't you love to eat the contents in this jar? Sara Douglass at Stampin' Up! Convention showed us this tasty jar that she had filled with some family recipe. I filled mine with my gorp. If you think about it canning and preserves are just another way we preserve family memories. Whether we use a secret family preserves recipe or the family gets together for an annual apple picking and pie baking day. Not all memories need to be preserved in photos and on paper.

Circle of Life

Circle of Life My daughter created this using the circle punch and resizing it many times and filling it with various papers. She plans to add photos when she finds ones that will work. Just darling.

MDS Something Fishy

My daughter was just playing around in My Digital Studio. She only has the express version plus some extra downloads. Having no fish stamps and only punches and flower stamps to choose from she made her own fish. The fish tank is an upside down tag punch. So darn cute.

Flitter Byes

Go for the more environmental jar of butterflies- make your own. Do you remember catching butterflies or fireflies as a kid? Our family practices - catch - observe - release. I used the big shot butterfly die and the new butterfly hand punch from Stampin' Up! And the new butterfly stamp set.

Apple Picking

Using the new Perfectly Preserved stamp set from Stampin' Up! And the Cannery Framelets from Big Shot I made a cute tag that would be great for apple preserves or a homemade apple pie gift. The cannery dies and stamp set coordinate so well together it is hard to go wrong. Now I want to go pick some apples, maybe this weekend.

MDS2

At convention there was a resource center where we play with the new My Digital Studio 2. I whipped this up in about 4 minutes. They let me email it to myself. So cool you can color them any color anywhere. All images are vector so they can be resized with out image loss. So excited for it to come out August 1. Not all features will be ready (75) new features. But you will be able to get the update for free when it's ready. Visit http://www.mydigitalstudio.net.

Inking of You group

Big group at Convention 2012. We had so much fun. These ladies are precious.

Happy Halloween Frame

Since I did not have another fancy frame I created my own using a cardstock matte. I love Halloween and am glad to have a head start on decorations.

Happy Birthday Mom

Using the double frame idea from the previous post I made this one for my mothers birthday in two weeks.

Tea 4 Two

Using double frames that I saw Shannon West do at Convention July 2012. I purchased mine at Target, 5 x 7 larger size, 3 pack. I adhered the fancier frame to the glass with sticky strip. This is going in my kitchen.

Ribbon Flower

Using scraps or other ribbon make a flower placing them on the new Stampin' Up! Jumbo sticky rounds. Trim to desired size. Decorate the top as you normally would. You could also just do four pieces of ribbon to make 8 legs of a spider. Add cardstock to top with dimensionals to form the spider body.
