New Trimmer from Stampin' Up! Available for Purchasing

The new trimmer is here! Today! November 1, 2019 Stampin' Up! has been working for quite some time to create a new trimmer for us that cuts and scores up to 12x12 inch paper like a boss.  Being a Demonstrator, I am able to order the trimmer early and test it out. It is now the only trimmer I am using. And I cut and score a lot of paper daily. My first blade still cuts like the first day. You are not likely to see as heavy a use as me. Though, I cannot say for sure. That being said, refill packs won't be available until January 2020. I honestly cannot see the average person needing to worry about refill before January. I have not loved a cutter as much since our guillotine cutter back from more than ten years ago. I do not use mine anymore. And I am shocked by that. I have always preferred a guillotine cutter. But this new trimmer cuts beautifully. And the fact that I can cut and score from the same unit saves me time and I find that I am scoring my stuff a lot more.

New Trimmer Coming Soon!

I am taking names for the first to be notified for the new trimmer. We still have no exact release date. Demonstrators may preorder in October. So best guess is sometime after November 1st. To get placed on the first to be notified list, contact me today. I will put you on the list. Trimmer is $25.00 Refill pack of 4 $12.00

Cute Lil Snowman Tag

This cute lil snowman tag resulted from me not getting products that I wanted. Recently I participated in a Christmas tag swap. I knew the layout and the paper that I wanted to use, from the Let It Snow suite on pages 18-21 of the Holiday 2019 catalog. I realized I did not order the stamp set, nor the punch that would have made the cutest little ol tag. I should have ordered the Snowman Season stamp set and the snowman builder punch. Alack alas, I did not. So I punted. I used several punches to create the snowman base. and I fussy cut (handout) all 20 carrot noses. And I couldn't find my black rhinestones to use for the coal face pieces. So I colored them with the black Stampin' Blends. Since I used a tag topper punch for the scalloped edge, and they punch out a hole for ribbon, I had to back the hole with a 1/2" circle punch, in Pool Party, so I could attach a ribbon on the front with a glue dot. The end result is cute. It is just not what I pictured in my

Sweet Hot Treat!

Sweet and simple gift for Fall. I added higher end hot cocoa. I put about a dozen? marshmallows in our 2x8 treat tube cello bags and folded it in half and sealed it. I am not sure why I didn't think of this sooner, like years ago, but I just used one of our standard card cello envelopes for the treats. I always have several packages of them lying around my stamp room, as I use them for my card exchange cards when I swap cards.  I made 16 of the toppers in about an hour. I think it took more time to put the marshmallows in the cello bags. Those little devils were wanting to pop all over the place.  Supplies Stamps : Itty Bitty Christmas 150513 $22.00, Tiny Keepsakes 150460 $20.00 Inks : Black Papers : Cherry Cobbler cardstock 119685 $8.75, Mossy Meadow Cardstock 133676 $8.75, Whisper White Cardstock 100730 $9.75, Silver Foil Sheets 132178 $5.00 Accessories : Cup of Christmas dies 150491 $23.00, Cherry Cobbler Diagonal Stripe Ribbon 150439 $7.50, Sprig punch 1480

Reason for my Absence - It is a GOOD One!

I have been very absent from here. There is a logical and sound reason. On June 23, 2019 my husband got a kidney transplant. We got the call at 12:55 am on June 24, 2019 that there was one available. It was a very wild ride leading up to surgery. No one slept, like at all, until Sunday night. Like how could you sleep getting that news? You just can't. We have, or I have, more to share on this once life settles down. On top of that, because life continues to happen, in spades, I had surgery scheduled for days after his transplant. It was supposed to be a safe time to have it. The calendar was fairly clear!!! I did move it once or twice because of his transplant. But we discussed it, and decided that it was best to go ahead with my surgery. We can recover together. My pre-op exam would eventually time out (good for only 30 days) and I didn't want to repeat that. And so on. It seemed best to just go forward. It was my first surgery alone. My son dropped me off early in th

Sunday Reference Day - Card Layer Sizing

I know many of you struggle with layer sizing when designing your projects. I created this measurement chart and a great visual to help you with measurements and designing. Card Layer Sizing Chart based on a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" folded card Here are the raw measurements based on a 5 1/2' x 4 1/4" finished card: 5 ¼ x 4” 5 x 3 ¾” 4 ¾ x 3 ½” 4 ½ x 3 ¼” 4 ¼ x 3” 4 x 2 ¾” 3 ¾ x 2 ½” 3 ½ x 2 ¼” 3 ¼ x 2” 3 x 1 ¾” 2 ¾ x 1 ½” 2 ½ x 1 ¼” You can also find this chart on my Tool Box page.
