Happy Halloween 2015

Happy Halloween 2015 One final card. Stamps: Sweet Hauntings by Stampin' Up! 139702 w 139705 c, Among the Branches (eyes and crow) 139823 Inks: Archival Black ink 140931 Papers: Night of Navy, Tangerine Tango, Smoky Slate, Whisper White and Pear Pizzaz cardstocks,  Accessories: Note Tag Punch 135860, 1 1/4" circle punch 119861, Fringe Scissors 133325, 1 1/4" burlap ribbon 132140, dazzling diamonds glitter, Tombo green glue, blender pens This card also uses the "star technique" from the October 30, 2015 post on how to. To make the pumpkins I punched out two circles for each and then hand-trimmed them to create the pumpkin grooves. I cut the burlap ribbon in half and then fringed it. The tombstones where wrinkled and then flattened then sponged to age them. I hope you all had a safe and very fun filled Halloween. Ours was a lot of fun meeting new neighbors. It is the first year our kids didn't go trick-or-treating but they still

Halloween Mist

Accessory: Spider Web Doilies 139622 page 47 in the Holiday Catalog My newest team member Jeny came over for crafts and swap prepping a few weeks ago. After the swaps were prepped, essentially we had a craft off with some Halloween fun.  Jenny took and flipped the black spider web doilies over so the white side was face up. She made a color mist using a spray bottle, rubbing alcohol and a dash of Night of Navy re-inker.  The effect is a smoky, mystical background that calls to spooks everywhere.  Another use for the doilies would be to color the white back side of the doily. They are a very pretty shape. Thank you for allowing me to post your creation on my blog Jeny. Sorry about the double watermark, my app automatically adds my watermark. Thank you for stopping by. I wish you a happy spooky night, Sandy

Countdown to Halloween

Poison at the ready! One more day until the spooks coming knocking, claiming "trick or treat, give me something good to  eat."  To make the sparkly stars, I came up with a technique modified from one I learned at Convention this summer.  Supplies: tomboy green glue, dazzling diamonds glitter, blender pen Squirt a small amount of glue into a container (I use an empty embellishment container) add a pinch of glitter and apply  with the blender pen.  Because the green glue is thicker you get chunky looking stars.  Alternate (learned at Convention): glitter glue and a blender pen or aqua painter. You can get very tiny sparkles with this technique.  Stamps: Sweet Hauntings 139702 Inks: Archival Black ink pad 140931 Papers: Soft Sky 131203, Night of Navy 100867, Whisper White 100730 Accessories: Spider Web doilies 139622, Many Marvelous Markers 131264 (comes in color packs also), Dazzling Diamond glitter 133751, Blender Pens 102845, Tomb

Diva Blog Hop October 2015 - Frame Yourself

Arriving from Denise   Our months theme is Framelits. I love Framelits and find that I use them on almost every card now. They are a modern day punch with precise edges.  The Framelits set I used here is Handpicked and coordinates with a few stamp sets in the catalog. I will post the card recipe at the bottom. Here is the funny of this card. Other than the stamped Eye on You using the Handpicked Framelits, all the rest of the objects were leftovers from recent projects. So this card came together rather quickly. I must try this again, using up leftover pieces, it was kind of fun! Here is a close up of the spooky eye! Supplies for this project: Stamps: Stake Your Claim 138688 Inks: StayzOn Black  Papers: Pumpkin Pie cardstock 105117, Smoky Slate cardstock 131202, Hello Honey cardstock 133678, Whisper White cardstock 100730 Accessories: Handpicked Framelits 137361, Circles Collection Framelits 130911, Woodland TIEF 139673 Holiday catalog, Softly F
