Sunday Reference Day - Card Layer Sizing

I know many of you struggle with layer sizing when designing your projects. I created this measurement chart and a great visual to help you with measurements and designing. Card Layer Sizing Chart based on a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" folded card Here are the raw measurements based on a 5 1/2' x 4 1/4" finished card: 5 ¼ x 4” 5 x 3 ¾” 4 ¾ x 3 ½” 4 ½ x 3 ¼” 4 ¼ x 3” 4 x 2 ¾” 3 ¾ x 2 ½” 3 ½ x 2 ¼” 3 ¼ x 2” 3 x 1 ¾” 2 ¾ x 1 ½” 2 ½ x 1 ¼” You can also find this chart on my Tool Box page. Original website post on card layers, includes a video! I hope you find this information useful. Happy Stamping, Sandy

Make a Wish My Friend

The sweetness of the purples of this card will bring a smile to anyones face. Some of the products are now retired, as I didn't get it posted in time. It happens. With my wrist and should issues (arthritis and many other things), using a computer this past 2019 winter just couldn't happen. See below for an update! I thought it is still worth mentioning the card, if nothing else maybe you like the layout, or some other materials used in the project. Excuse the mess in the background. It does get cleaned up, and often. Currently I have about a two inch deep pile of scraps, and other materials on my work table as I prepare new samples for the just newly released Annual Catalog on June 4, 2019. This stamp set was introduced in the Occasions 2019 catalog, and retired during the end of the catalog life cycle in May 2019. Sad, because I really liked it.  Card Recipe Stamps : Life is Grand 148744 $20 cling retired Inks : Memento Black ink pad Papers : Very Vanill

Everything is Coming up Daisies

I love this card! It is so bright and fresh. It uses newer colors (mostly) from Stampin' Up! And it came together really fast. I was inspired by a sample I saw on page 23 in the catalog. The sample card is nice, but I wanted more of a color pop. And with using Gorgeous Grape as the main color and adding a pale green, in this case, Soft Sea Foam, it really brings out that purple hue. Card Recipe Stamps :  Daisy Lane stamp set 149325 $23 cling Inks : Gorgeous Grape ink 147099 $7.50 Papers : Soft Sea Foam 146988 $8.75, Whisper White 100730 $9.75, Purple Posy 150881 $8.75, Crushed Curry 131199 $8.75 Accessories : Tailored Tag punch, 145667 $18, Daisy punch 143713 $18, (not on project) Medium Daisy Punch 149517 $16, Subtle 3D embossing folder 151715 $10, Burlap Ribbon 141487 $7, 1/2" circle punch 119869 $6 Save : Daisy Lane bundle 151118 $35, save 10% when you buy the Daisy Lane stamp set and medium daisy punch together. A Good Man is Good to Find

From my Live at 5! Let's Make Something on May 29, 2019. That is my live interactive classes on my Facebook page. I adore this stamp set for so many reasons right now. For one, it is a basic male, family guy, masculine without the hunting and fishing and woods and sports sets we have always had. It pairs well with Beautiful You and Wonderful Moments stamp set, the female partners to this male set. All three stamp sets are a sketch style line art image. See how easy it can be to make great cards using this stamp set. I do show some swaps I received, giving credit where credit is needed. Watch me make some easy cards with this great stamp set that you should have in your stamp tool box. Thank you for stopping by today. Happy Stamping, Sandy
