Arriving from Sue http://stillstampingwithsue.typepad.com/
Or from Denise (there were technical problems) http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/denisewilson/blog
Yes I am still in the Christmas card spirit. This December we are blog hopping about punches.
Stampin' Up! offers many types of punches: edge, basic shape, flowers (of course), tags and labels, and fun stuff (cupcakes, bow builders, trees and more).
I love punches almost (almost) as much as I love ribbon. I will include Thinlits and Framelits in this, as they cut paper in a shape. If you know Sandy, I do not do well with fussy cutting - as in hand cutting ornate shapes. This is why there are punches people!
Punches used in this card: ornate tag topper 137416, oops, spiral punch is retired (sorry, missed that on the retirement list), note tag punch 135860
DSP: Home for Christmas 139593 Holiday Catalog and Merry Everything Stamp set 135068/135071
Accent: Real Red Pom Pom Trim 139617 Holiday Catalog
Next card that gets punch work:
Punches used in this card: Banner Triple Punch 138292, Bow Builder 137414
DSP: Also Home for Christmas
Accent: Pom Pom (single), Very Vanilaa 1 1/4" stripe satin ribbon 139616 Holiday Catalog and the stapler 139083
There are many ways to put together the bow builder punch. Glue Dots. Glue. I love the stapler because it is quick and accurate. But it is wider than the strip that gets punched out that is to wrap around the middle of the bow. Pom Pom coverage to the rescue.
We are deep in decorating and purchasing and wrapping right now at home. I am still trying to take time each day to craft something. That is my reward if I unpack and/or organize something, as part of settling in more in the house. So far it has been working. Not a day goes by (seriously) that a box or closet or shelf doesn't get worked on. This process has been dragging on far too long and we are all growing weary of it. Hence, my reward system. Which means I have a lot to post in the next few days!
Thank you for joining the Diva Blog hop this December. We all do lovely work.
Happy Stamping and Merry Christmas, Sandy
