NEW - Studio Organization That I Use!

This photo was taking a while ago, and there have been some changes since it was photographed. Essentially the same idea remains. The cat still rests on my table a lot of the time, and so on.  An accountability, business building group I am a member of, had a challenge this past summer, summer of 2024, to get our creative spaces organized. Mine is "organized", for the most part, but I have a few areas that needed addressing. And I note that in a document I am sharing with you. I am still purging and rearranging. I feel that is a constant with crafters, as what we use, what we need, and as new products become available, that will always be changing.  My best advice is figure out a framework of organization. I love my Ikea Kallax units. Very much so because they are uniform storage and it is easy to find inserts for them. Stamp N Storage, a Hutchinson Minnesota company, makes wood inserts for them, for crafting, but I can think beyond that. They just make good organizatio...

Hello Hollyhock's Card Kit from Stampin' Up!

Well that was supposed to embed a video. Hmm... If you are not familiar with my YouTube Channel - Needs A Ribbon, I have over 400 videos, which are a great resource for you.  Here is a recent card kit I did for my Let's Kit Together. We usually meet Thursdays at 6:00 pm CST on Facebook live or later and put our kits together.  Truth be told I have been having a lot of problems recently with the sound from the Facebook videos when I process them. Until I figure out a fix for that, I will be pre-recording some of my Let's Kit Togethers, not live or together. It is the only way I can continue to offer this as a resource to you.  Here is a link to my EVENTS calendar!

How To Take Great Photos!

If you are here, following me, you are some type of paper crafter, cardmaker or scrapbooker.   Maybe you would like to learn how to take better photos to share them on social media, or to post somewhere to sell them, or maybe just to share your creations with friends.  Recently I created this great document on the major points on how to compose a good product photo, going into greater depth. Initially it was for a business accountability group. But I thought, why not share it with you also!  So you can find a link to the PDF below and also under my TOOLBOX tab. I normally dumb documents under the CATALOGS tab as that seems to be most of what I am sharing these days.  I hope you will find this useful. Email me if you have any questions. At this point I do not plan to film any videos on this. We shall see if I do in the future.  How to Take Great Photos!

Mystery Boxes

During the Summer 2024, started a Mystery Box program.  $100 Order you will automatically be mailed a surprise mystery box with about $150 worth of just retired products. Pictured is just a sample of what is included.  I am trying this in lieu of some of my garage sale items. As many of you do not live local, and are unable to shop at the garage sale I have in New Hope MN twice a year.  So I put together a certain number of items in Priority Mail boxes, ready to ship as soon as I receive your $100 or more order.  I still have a few boxes left.  Depending on response to this, I may continue it next spring (May 2025). It will be evaluated at that time.  Sandy

KITS Collection

Stampin' Up! is expanding their kits offering.  Going forward we will offer 2 new kits per month, that are not tied to a catalog. The kits will range from card kits, to craft kits to tree ornaments, Halloween Houses, kits for kids and beyond.  This is in addition to our very fine Paper Pumpkin monthly subscription box service. And do not forget that on most Thursdays I offer an online Let's Kit Together. We meet on Facebook at 6 pm CT 2-3 Thursdays a month. Be sure to check that out. Link to Facebook here  to see which Thursdays are scheduled. If I am busy it will be offered earlier in the week on Tuesdays.  During a Let's Kit Together, or I call it LKT we put together our Paper Pumpkin kits, our Stampin' Up! kits or you are free to work on your own crafting item. It is a chance to gather together and share crafting time.  Be sure to check out our KITS COLLECTION here .
