Stitched with Cheer Kit from Stampin' Up!

STITCHED WITH CHEER PROJECT KIT
142012 Item Holiday Catalog  ***  Makes 18 cards & envelopes

My Tips for You from Sandy McManus www.needsaribbon.com

This is a fun and easy to put together kit. It looks like you spent hours and hours assembling. The stitching really is quite quick. You will have lots and lots of leftover pieces to create your own things.

Stamper Level: Beginner to Expert

Time needed: as a group, plan on 3-4 hours, less for experienced crafters. Short on time? Do a step a day, such as stitch all of one card per day. Stamp one day. Envelopes one day.

Stamp Set: Stitched with Cheer 142182 item Holiday Catalog
Supply Items: add scotch tape

Greetings - two choices for each card style

Pieces to Stamp
·       STAMP FIRST. Set aside to dry.
·       Leave pieces on sheets to stamp, then punch out.
·       Sparkles, in both sizes, on Peace & Happiness cards
·       Leaves in 2 sizes for Christmas Joy (12 total)
·       Greetings on all cards (18 total)

Envelopes
·       Complete all liners at once using Tear Tape.
·       Use 2 2 inch pieces of Tear Tape for each envelope at the flap point.
·       Crease the flaps after adhering liner.
·       Don’t forget to stamp your envelopes!

Stitching
·       Do punch out stitch holes ahead of time. Erin on video says you do not need to do it. It makes it difficult to see where you need to stitch next if you do not punch them out.
·       Thread needle with the needle threader provided.
·       Scotch tape is your best friend for anchoring ends of thread.

Christmas Joy Card
·       Use 3 dimensionals for adhering the star.
·       I like the plaid star at a diagonal because this card has such strong horizontal and vertical lines.
·       Do not split the thread. This thread unthreads from needle easily.
·       Star accent is thin paper, do not pull!
·       Attach greeting with tear tape.
·       Attach holly leaves with glue dots.
Holly Jolly Card
·       Stitch middle tree last so it sits above side trees better.
·       1 twine strand does all three trees.

Peace & Happiness Card
·       Use half of all gold twine.

Here are some tips for customers or demonstrators running a Stitched with Cheer class. I will be uploading alternate samples soon.

These are the additional supplies needed to complete the kit.

This is a fun kit that is a lot easier to put together than I originally thought. The stitching is actually very simple and goes quickly.  Please feel free to ask any other questions.

Thanks for stopping by, Sandy
