Cute Lil Snowman Tag

This cute lil snowman tag resulted from me not getting products that I wanted. Recently I participated in a Christmas tag swap. I knew the layout and the paper that I wanted to use, from the Let It Snow suite on pages 18-21 of the Holiday 2019 catalog. I realized I did not order the stamp set, nor the punch that would have made the cutest little ol tag. I should have ordered the Snowman Season stamp set and the snowman builder punch. Alack alas, I did not.

So I punted. I used several punches to create the snowman base. and I fussy cut (handout) all 20 carrot noses. And I couldn't find my black rhinestones to use for the coal face pieces. So I colored them with the black Stampin' Blends.

Since I used a tag topper punch for the scalloped edge, and they punch out a hole for ribbon, I had to back the hole with a 1/2" circle punch, in Pool Party, so I could attach a ribbon on the front with a glue dot.

The end result is cute. It is just not what I pictured in my head. Does that happen to you a lot? You get these great ideas, and you go to execute them and it looks nothing like how it started out. It doesn't happen to me very often, since I have been doing this for years. But it does happen. And this was mostly because I didn't have the supplies I wanted to begin with.
