You're my Hero

Who is the hero in your life? Mine is my husband. We all appreciate the effort of our local police, fire, and paramedic crews for their everyday efforts keeping is safe.  I received this card at Convention during the manly man swap. The card would be nice also to give to your local fire crew. They would like to be remembered for their service to your community.  Happy stamping. Sandy

Manly Coffee card

A very nice easy to replicate card that would be good for your guy, or any other coffee lover in your life. The demonstrator used the chalk talk framelit and then ran it through the herringbone embossing folder for the tag. She stamped the cup then stamped it again on DSP and cut it out. She used the new label punch for the greeting.  The early August weather is beautiful in Minnesota. Cooler temps make it easier to think about crafting. Or would you rather head outside because its nice? This is one of many manly man swaps I received at Convention.  Thanks for stopping by. Happy stamping,  Sandy

Manly Man Swap

As I posted yesterday and have in the past about organized swapping at Convention. I participated in a "Manly Man" swap. Unfortunately about 9 people did not show up for the swap. There was to be around 50 swappers.  To make the background layer I used Early Espresso Core'dinations paper 129956 for the Neutrals pack. The Core'dinations paper is great because it is so manipulatable. I ran it through the Big Shot using the Argyle embossing folder 127750 which I thouht would start it off with a masculine flair. I then sanded it.  It took no time at all to sand what ended up to be 58 cards using the new sanding system where you can replace the sanding pads 129367 and replacement pads can be purchases. I have yet to wear out my originals though. Moving on. I used a lot of ovals that I cut out using the ovals framelits 129381 and the big white elephant of Stampin' Up! the magnetic platform for the Big Shot to use with your framelits 130658, I purchased mine in the first...
