Thanksgiving is days away. What are your holiday plans and what traditions do you have?
My kids are voting for Old Country Buffet for dinner as that is a tradition my parents started when the kids were very little. It was easier for everyone involved. I really do not want to go as I do not eat most of that food except for the soup and salad. We do need a tradition, whether it be an old one or a new one.
We are in a new house and all our local family that we have spent holidays with in the past are now deceased. I think it's time to start a new tradition of some type. The kids say nope. Must stay as is. We have always been a crazy Black Friday early shopper. I am not even interested in that this year. So far no one has listed any gift ideas that make it essential to go out in the cold in the middle of the night and fight the crowds. I do hear "but it's tradition mom".
So, this old fart is ready for some fresh ideas, I see that the kids want to carry on the crazy traditions. This is the only way to do Thanksgiving weekend that they have ever known. Kids traditions is likely to be how this all falls out in a few days.
What tradition can your family not live without for Thanksgiving?
Thank you for stopping by! Happy stamping, Sandy
