Urban Underground Suite: You're Number 1!

Saturdays have me thinking guys and dads that would spend the day fixing things around the house and tinkering in their tool shed. My husband is a more modern sort who's idea of fixing means optimizing the internet and playing GTA 5 on Saturday mornings drinking coffee. My own dad was definitely of the spending the day tinkering sort. He loved that sort of thing. When he passed away a few years ago, I came up with the quote "he could fix anything, not well, but he could fix anything." And boy was that ever so true. As long as whatever it was worked, drained, had electricity or otherwise stayed glued together we were good.  We won't talk about the pipes that we have found that are only resting together and not connected. They drain. Surprisingly they do not leak much, but they are not to code and certainly wasn't the best work.  Card CASEd from the Occasions 2017 page 46 Stamps:  Urban District • 9 rubber stamps 143068 $27.00 ...

Tool Box: Photopolymer Stamps: Can be a Sticky Situation

Have you found your brand new photopolymer stamps not always inking and stamping the entire image? There is a reason. When the stamps are manufactured there is a residue left on the outside of the stamp, which is normal and expected. The sticky residue can make stamping difficult without some basic prep. Ways to Set Your Photopolymer Stamps Clean your stamps with the Stampin' Mist cleaner item code 102934 $4.50 and the Stampin' Scrub cleaning pads item code 126200 $17.00. I have heard some just rub their stamps on their jeans or pants.  Stamp repeatedly on scratch paper to remove residue. Photopolymer stamps and StayzOn ink do not always play nice with each other. The residue is the problem.  If using StayzOn and haven't cleaned your stamps with the cleaner, just keep inking your stamp until the residue is gone and stamp is no longer sticky. Of course it is likely to be permanently black now, but that is okay too. Does not effect the usability of the s...
