Let's Put a Pause on Crafting.

I am sorry my postings disappeared for a few days. I might be mostly offline for a few weeks. We shall see how that goes.

I am days away from my next knee surgery (Monday August 21st). Because I am on surgery countdown I am off all meds, including over the counter ones like Motrin, Aspirin and such. Yes I am uncomfortable and in pain. My mobility is limited to and from the bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. I am most comfortable on the bed right now. I am making the most of my situation.

Trying to craft anything right now, which is normally fun and good therapy for the mind, my mind is just not into it at all. I do try, once or twice a day, but I have to sit in bed, and the body mechanics aren't the best for crafting and my mind just flatlines quickly. I know it is because I am distracted by the impending surgery. Whats worse, I have all those new shiny Holiday catalog goodies, and just zero interest in playing. Or the interest is there until the supplies are in front of me, then i stare blankly at them. Its the nature of the beast.

Again, because I am limited to my bed for comfort, not bed rest as you might think, my movements are limited only by my comfort right now, not by any medical recommendations. with no meds, moving, even showering, has its challenges. My good knee shakes, Heisenberg. I think he too, is at the end of his rope.

So I share a quick alternate card from the Soft Sayings Card Kit (item 145466) made with extra bits leftover from the kit, and a little watercoloring prowess. Simple, sweet and quick card. (see, I just can't seem to not post any projects!!!)

It is still in the works to write up a full description of what has happened on my knee and what my decisions are and why, all before surgery. I just have not been in the mind to go over it. Been trying to keep my mind off of it. I read an entire book today, a Lisa Scottolini novel.

Take care, and keep crafting for me! ~Sandy
