Simple Watercolor Happy Birthday

Here is an alternate card I created using the stamp set that is included in the all-inclusive Soft Sayings card kit, item 145466.

I watercolored the background with Tranquil Tide re-inker and water and an aqua painter. Set aside to dry. I then stamped the Happy Birthday in Versamark ink and heat embossed with white heat embossing powder.

I used glue dots to adhere the copper mesh trim as an accent.

I did not feel it needed any more. I wanted to keep it simple and elegant. Not every project needs to be over-the-top many stepped. I have really been working on the KISS principal this summer - Keep It Simple Silly. Who has time to spend an hour or more on each card they need? Oh don't get me wrong, I love to sink my teeth into a WOW over the top card, but not everyone has the time nor ability nor desire to always have over the top projects.

Simple supply list with no item numbers today:
Aquapainter, Tranquil Tide re-inker, water, Soft Sayings card kit, White embossing powder, VersaMark ink, Heat Tool, Glue dots, copper mesh and of course, Whisper White cardstock.

Personal note, I am having surgery in one week! I do not not how long or how I will be laid up so I am doing what I can to get stuff done beforehand and help around the house (I can hear my husband laughing at that one, he doesn't want me helping with anything). I do need to get a knee update posted  in the next day or two. People have been asking for it.

Keep being your creative best. Don't forget that Carols of Christmas is available to purchase early. Search my site or look under Specials to learn more. ~Sandy
