There are positives to deep cleaning and purging your house in prep for a major move. Hubs came across these precious items this past weekend. 18 years and holding steady.
The A Royal Wedding was software I used to plan the wedding. I was geek chic before it was chic. I computerized what I could even back in 1995/96. Back when the internet was a barren wasteland compared to today. I did also use a very nice spiral bound planner to carry around necessary wedding plans. Now I would imagine most brides use software, or apps, or websites where it is all "in the cloud".
And the "Two Hearts Become One" disc (perish the thought of using a 3.5" disc, or even being able to read it today) was our wedding favor with our love story on it. I was paper crafting even then, making all 175 paper disc holders. My mom helped me glue the little puff of tulle on, which matched my dress, and the red satin ribbon rose, which matched our two hearts/rose theme. Little did we know that hot glue would have made this an hours project instead of days. We used. Aleen's Tacky Glue, which you had to hold it in place until the glue set. DAYS!!! Even my dad said, after we were done, why didn't you just use my hot glue gun. Thanks, Dad!
I thought I better get this scrapbooked before the items get buried for another 18 years. Lol
Much like a lot of my current philosophy on scrapbooking, and paper crafting in general. It doesn't have to be hard. It doesn't have to require a multitude of supplies. It doesn't have to be expensive.
So with a few clicks of the camera, a few clicks on the #ProjectLifeApp using the Love Story card collection by Stampin' Up! in app card purchase ($1.99) #PLxSU I preserved part of our wedding story. I know when things settle down later this spring I want to import this file (.jpeg) into My Digital Studio, and add a few digi embellishments before I print it out. This all took minutes. Just minutes. This is beautiful scrapbooking made super simple.
I do love the complicated layered fussy pages too. But I am reserving that for super special pictures, not the bulk. And that is the way it should be. Save the "haul out all the embellishments and spend hours on a layout" pages for the super special occasions.
FYI Love Story Project Life Card Pack from Stampin' Up! (the real paper not the digital version) is 135308. Coordinating embellishment pack is 135310.
Those of you married many years, have you started your wedding album yet? My pictures are all in a nice photo sleeve album, but says nothing of the occasion, or dates, or special stories. And we all know with every wedding there are those special stories.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. Happy Stamping and memory keeping. Sandy
