Just Because Vertical Greetings Card

Oh my, I am realizing how far behind I fell last summer on showing you my projects. This was another card I did for a swap in August. Someone else kindly swapped for me (thanks Lisa and Sue) because we were on yet another, family vacation. I am not complaining at all about all the trips and family time last summer of 2016. But some thing had to give in the equation and sharing my projects on here was what didn't happen, at all. Well I am back! Lol

I really love the easy of using this Vertical Greetings stamp set. I should use it more. Sometimes going vertical just changes the look enough, just different enough, you do not need a lot of other fluff on your project.

This card does not have a lot of pieces or layers. It works because of the graphic nature of the striped paper and the black and white with a pop of color, in this case, Emerald Envy.

I did pre-post this post, hopefully the family is off for a day of fun with my college daughter home for the week. On the agenda today, visiting the big Home and Garden show at the Minneapolis Convention Center! Maybe I will have a lot of cool ideas to share with you after today. In any case, with our big remodel coming up, we figure it doesn't hurt to look at whats what and certainly the yard needs rehab. Oh Lordy. My parents planted stuff in 1964-1972, and a vegetable garden for a few years. That was pretty much the sum total of the yard. My dad did add some hosta in the 1990's. But his planning, well, it just wasn't planned. He stuck them in the ground with no rhyme or reason. Its nice but... We have lots of plans for the yard too. Nothing on paper yet. We have a few old trees that need to go, mostly due to disease, and a large ill placed 50 year old clump of lilacs which have taken over part of the small back yard. Oh the back yard is big, but most of it is steep hill, and forested.

Oh yeah, this card!
